Job Description
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist operates venous ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures to include invasive and non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures per physician specification/direction; assists physician with therapeutic laser venous ablations; closely monitors patient during procedure and assists patient to recovery area following procedure; ensures as regulatory standards are met and performs diagnostic administrative responsibilities necessary to maintain appropriate accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine; performs other duties necessary to provide exceptional patient care; possess skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to vascular technology; serves as an integral part of the overall clinical team for the physician office. This position will require office specific training in the Florence office.
Work Schedule
80 hours biweekly as scheduled
Skills Required
Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology or formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable. Must have RVT registration. Active Certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty as appropriate.
Experience Required
Prefer three to five years of professional x-ray technology/ultrasonography experience in a hospital setting or physician office. Candidates with abdominal ultrasound experience are preferred. Experience with echo is a plus.
