Quality / Risk Management Specialist (FT) - McLeod Seacoast

Participates in the scope of service of Quality & Safety division as it relates to risk management, patient safety and quality improvement activities. Utilizes a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to conduct root cause analysis of adverse events and development of corrective plans. Utilizes clinical skills to perform an investigative, correlative assessment of the quality of care and utilization of resources and to identify opportunities for improvement. Supports the Medical Staff in Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Management activities and provides clinical expertise in support of the corporate Risk Management team. Works closely with legal counsel and malpractice insurance providers regarding the grievance process and escalated complaints. Records and monitors data to identify trends and patterns of care by individuals, patient care processes, diagnoses or procedures that indicate and opportunity for improvement. Must handle all information in a confidential, discreet manner and the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and emotionally mature manner.

Position located at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, SC.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
